I have discovered a core problem, while showing blocks:
- if you set in admin>preferences "no module" for start page and then put some blocks to be shown just on the start of the site (no on other module's start page: by selecting "Show in pages Start:|_| Index:|x| Other:|_| Special:|_|) than those blocks:

- are showed correctly in the start page of the site - ok
- are not showd in the index pages of different nodule - ok
- are showed in other index pages of some modules - NOT OK !!!
- other modules do not respond at all to any block settings: xoopsfaq, mylinks

What can it be done?

It could be a matter of the installed theme, but I'm not sure. Nobse suggested the following changes a while ago (in you theme.php):

Code:

<?php //if ($show_rblock) { ?>
<td id="rightblock" width="160" align="right" valign="top" class="sidebar2">
<?php make_sidebar("right");?>
</td>
<?php //} else { echo "<td width='1' id='rightblock' style='display:none;'> </td>"; } ?>

Just search for Code:

<?php //if ($show_rblock)

and replace it with the code above. It worked for me. However, I'm not sure whether it will solve your problem, I suppose you use another theme file. No matter what you change - backup your original file first.
