Hello, I have an interesting proposal for you: 2 new blocks as follows: 1. the events from the next 7 days and the past 2 days (intended for review) by category 2. the events from the next 7 days and the past 2 days (intended for review) by location
Those 2 blocks would need a default category and location if user is visitor and the custom category and location chosen by member. I believe this request would need an extra table with userID and its location and category preferences.
The idea is a personalized eCal notification block that may satisfy each user according to it's personal interests: the category (example: his job/hobby) or location (example: his city).
Questions / Comments: I have to ask you if the member enters a private event is it automatically approved or still does need the admin acceptance if moderation is on? I believe that private events should be on auto approve status. But into the events list the private events should not be shown; I believe no one would care if tomorrow it's my grandpa birthday, or I have to go to the dentist (for example). I'm writting this because I found out that other members can see private events that don't belong to them (the "7 Day Event Forecast" block).
If I set into eCal preferences that the week begins with Monday, while adding an event (/modules/eCal/addevent.php), the week still starts with Sunday... Another question would be the next one: what happens with past events? Do the admin have to delete them manually or is (might be) an automatic deletion after a specific period (days/weeks/months/years/never)?
Thank you for reading this.
Best regards Sorin

Hello again, I want to ask the developers for an approximate date of "ecal" module next release, if possible. I'm aware that they might have a lot to work for it (there are some feature requests, some bugs and new solutions from The Italian Language Project - ecal 2.31). Thanks in advance. Sorin
