vsv : 23.04.2004 16:11  I'm starting with some feature proposal for ecal 2.5 : 1. in my opinion, when you add a private event this should be listed as belonging to a private category and not to a standard category as it is right now. the most simple solution is to verify if this event is private and to list as a pseudo-category and not to define another category; also, this kind of event should not be listed in the standard category event list (eg. "event in category" block); 2. a nice existing feature is the "repeating event" (every week, every 2weeks, ...), but I feel it misses an useful period: "every year" (great for annual events: birthdays etc.); the most complex feature are the next 2: 3. the option to define an event belonging to multiple categories and to multiple locations; sounds weird, but I just realized that's quite an often situation... 4. the option to select multiple categories and multiple locations as personal settings for members for "Event in location" and "Event in category" blocks

vsv : 26.04.2004 14:58  another feature proposed for ecal 2.5: - when adding an event or when first choosing the personal settings for 'event in category' and 'event in location' blocks, the drop-down selection box should start not with the first item in alphabetical order but with some text: "Select category" or "Select city"; also there has to be a script verifying that it has been made a selection (that it hasn't been selected this text) ... just a thought

This are some of my recommendations for ecal 2.41 beta module from forge.exoops.de : - the personal settings page should show a list with the options already selected by user for categories and locations - the same page should show the items selected from the selection box for those option so an user might not be forced to make the selections again (this is what is happening right now) - there would be useful a "cancel" button many thanks for accepting and resolving the requests so far Sorin

vsv : 22.07.2004 22:29  it seems to me that multiple selection for categories and locations doesn't work in personal settings.
