I have encountered a problem with "tutorials" v2.1b module.
When I submit an article (I choose a category then I choose to upload images on the server) , I receive an error:

I searched into the source file generated and it appears that the java script handling the image goes like this:

.. so there is no value to attrib to the variables, and that's the error...
When previewing an article another similar error appears (as member and admin), this time line 493; into the source file I have:

var backup_timgheight = ;
var timgwidthmax = 480;
var timgheightmax = 240;
This java script settings are made into the include/form.php file.
Anybody got any idea on how to resolve this problem? |

I am not sure if I understand your problem the right way so let me tell you where I encountered upload probs within this module. Sometimes during the redirection (after save article/categorie a.s.o. within admin) I see java errors, but don't seem to have any influence or occuring problems.

Uploading an image when making a categorie is giving problems. Within the admin after uploading the redirection doesn't work. You'll hang.
The upload doesn't work.
Uploading an image when making a article:
Add new article........./ question: do you wish to add images?.....answer Yes.
This part works.
Now,.during writing the article and you want to upload an image, (upload&Insert image) doesn't work. It gives no errors, but when viewing the article as a visitor the image doesn't show up. The only thing you'll see is an textlink with target_blank. After clicking it the image shows up within a new window.

The other possibilty during writing an article and inserting an image with:
Insert image button, doesnt work also. With this I mean: like above only a textlink is showing up within the article, with a target blank.

The only moment when uploading works an image is when you want to place a pic infront of the particulary article title.
Seems, this image upload thing contains still a lot of bugs.
The momentary work around is to:
upload the image by ftp and insert straight html within the article to get the image show.
I ask myself if somebody else stumble into these same images upload problems and javascr. error?!

You are right: the java errors do not seem to influence the article editing.
I was unable to upload any image to be putted in front of the article. In rest, the general uploading process still working with java errors(upload&Insert image).
After bug resolving next version recommendations might be:
-comments submitting;
-possibility of browsing the module as visitor and submitting articles only as member.

P.S. Try to see the source of the generated page then you get java errors. ;)
I'm curios if you get an attrib function with no value

instead of

Nope, I don't. Because like already said: the upload within an article (no matter which option I use) doesn't work properly with me.
Although I don't get any upload errors, the image isn't showing up within the article itself. It just shows a texture link (target=_blank) to it.
So at this point there is already a functionality difference between you and me.
Leaves the question open: what am I doing wrong, are you doing wrong, or........contains this upload thingy just some serious bugs?

Also, ich fahre jetzt weiter in die deutsche sprache denn ich komme wirklich nicht weiter mit diesem Tutorial module.
Hab die 2.1b version installiert, alles richtig gechmodt aber ich hab mehrere problemen mit diesem moduul. Soviel das ich es bis jetzt überhaupt nicht einsetzen kann, aber notwendig ist für meine Xoops-EXoops umwanderung.
1) Was ich auch versuche, das mit die image upload lauft nicht gut.
- Tont sich kein image beim hauptcategorie. (subcategorie klappts)
2) Image innerhalb ein tutorial:
- Innerhalb ein tutorial stimmt auch nicht.
Obwohl es keine errors gibt während den upload, tont sich das bild überhaupt nicht. Es läst nur ein textlink (die name des bildes: blabla.gif) in das artikel sehen. Wenn man darauf clickt öffnet sich ein zweites window mit, jawohl... das bild.
- Dasselbe geschieht wenn ich kein bold hochlade, aber ein 'insert image' mache [img]http://www.bild.de/images/blabla.gif[/img]
Dan erscheint die wieder nur ein tekstlink (name des image). Clicke und voila neues venster mit das bild.
3) HTML innerhalb ein tutorial:
Annstatt die bb-codes möchte ich html code gebrauchen.
ZB: <b>diese wörter sollen in das artikel bold werden</b>
oder
<table><tr><td>möchte tabellen machen für inhalt</td></tr></table>
Aber das klappt nicht. Das artikel läst die html-codierungen sehen.
Also, wer kann mir helfen/erklären warum es bei mir nicht lauft wie es sollte? Was mache ich falsch oder.......?
(b.t.w. habe das module schon zweimahl aufs neue installiert, hochgeladen u.s.w. Also daran liegt es auch nicht)

Damit die Bilder im Tutorial angezeigt werden musst du unter admin/einstellungen das Feld
Erlaube Usern externe Grafiken in Beiträgen, Commentaren und Signatur? auf ja setzen.
Damit das mit dem html Code klappt musst du unter einstellungen die html tags für user freigeben. |

Ich hatte Dir bei mir den User nobse mit pw nobse# eingerichtet, mit dem man nun Turotials aministrieren kann.
